Busy Skiing Season Ahead'' announced at SA-HK 2017 Annual Dinner

June 9th, 2017 Hong Kong: This year's dinner started with a welcome speech by SA-HK Chairman Mr. Edmond Yue. Ski Association of Hong Kong, China (SA-HK), as everyone know is a Full Member of the International Ski Federation FIS, applied to FIS to be the host city for 2020 FIS Congress to be held in Hong Kong. However FIS did not pick Hong Kong but Marrakech, a major city of Morocco in north Africa. Fortunately Ski Association of Hong Kong, China is preparing for a very busy 2017/2018 winter season. The training programs for the Hong Kong Ski Team will take team members to Harbin and Zhangjiakou of China. The ''Bring Children to the Snow'' programs will take skiers to Club Med Beidahu in Jilin China, Wanlong Ski Resort in Zhangjiakou China, Club Med Sahoro and Tomamu both in Hokkaido Japan, last but not least Ski resort in New Zealand. Some members of the Hong Kong Ski Team will also enter overseas skiing events such as the Whistler Cup in Vancouver Canada and of course the 2018 Winter Olympic in PyeongChang South Korea.

At the dinner, 2 Silver Badges were awarded to Jack Archer and Alexandra Tse, both successfully completed the General Assessment in March at Club Med Beidahu. 1 Gold Badge was awarded to Jerome Wong who had a great performance at competition in Italy in April this year. The dinner ended with lucky draws, good food from L'hotel elan and some entertaining music.​
