Ski Association of Hong Kong, China (SA-HK) visited the Beidahu Club Med on March 13-16, 2017. As far as skiers from Hong Kong are concerned, Beidahu Club Med is a very convenient ski resort which could be reached by 4 hours direct flight from Hong Kong followed by 2 hours bus ride. Once you've checked in Beidahu, everything is included such as ski lessons, meals, entertainment etc. Obviously parents especially could be very relaxed taking their children to Beidahu to enjoy the sport of skiing.
Besides bringing children to the snow, SA-HK is trying to promote the sport of skiing in China towards 2022 Winter Olympic which will be held in Zhangjiakou near Beijing. There are 2 candidates taking the General Assessment during this trip to Beidahu. They are being trained together with one member of the HK Ski Team by the top coaches from ESF. Eventually both were successfully assessed as Silver Level skiers of SA-HK and they will be invited to join the Hong Kong Ski Team soon.
The next ''Bring Children to the Snow'' event will be held in New Zealand in July this year. Associate members and their children are welcome to join. Registration and information could be found at www.sa-hk.com soon.
