China's 11th National Winter Games

​An extravagant show of amazing performances marks the official openning of the China's 11th National Winter Games in Qiqihar in northeastern Heilongjiang Province Friday evening. State Councilor Chen Zhili declared the opening of the 10-day games in the newly built speed skating stadium located in the western part of the city. The national winter sports gala is the last multi-sport games before China hosts the 29th Olympic Games in August of 2008. The stadium, a struture which occupies 19,143 square meters with a compacity of 1,500 spectators, is the arena where all the speed skating events of the games will be held.

冰雪连天舞飞鹤，振兴图谱体育歌。在飘雪的童话冬季，中华人民共和国第十一届冬季运动会１８日晚在鹤城齐齐哈尔速滑馆隆重开幕。国务委员陈至立出席开幕式并宣布第十一届全国冬季运动会开幕。

齐齐哈尔速滑馆的冰面上铺就了鲜艳的红地毯，室内穹顶变幻的灯光演绎着老工业基地的新生。２０时整，雄壮的运动员进行曲响起，五星红旗和全国冬季运动会会旗、第十一届全国冬季运动会会旗入场。北京、哈尔滨、长春、齐齐哈尔、七台河、无锡等代表团的运动员参加了开幕式。香港、澳门特别行政区的运动员入场时，现场观众报以热烈的掌声。

黑龙江省代省长、本届冬运会组委会执行主任栗战书在开幕式上致欢迎辞。国家体育总局局长、本届冬运会组委会主任刘鹏致开幕辞。他说，本届冬运会是对我国冬季项目运动水平的一次大检阅，是备战温哥华冬奥会的一次大练兵，将极大推动全民健身活动，展示我国冰雪运动良好的发展前景。 银色冬运，金色梦想。气势恢宏、特色鲜明的“冰雪２００８”的开幕式大型艺术演出以冰雪体育为主题，由“这个冬天要飞翔”、“冰雪之光”、“鹤乡之情”、“祖国之恋”和“冰雪２００８”五个部分组成。 在欢呼声中，大屏幕上出现了滑雪健儿拼搏的场面，“这个冬天要飞翔”的歌声飘起；一位银装素裹的“仙子”奏着银白色小提琴从天而降，时而在冰面上婀娜起舞，时而在高空中袅袅飞翔；茫茫的白桦林深处，几十名少女装扮成的银白色“雪鹿”在冰雪世界里奔腾。特效制作的鹤城标志物“丹顶鹤”也飞起飞落，儿童冰球表演更是将演出推向高潮。 [https://www.beijing2008.cn/]
