HK athlete Aerin KING medals at the 1st Asian Indoor Ski Championships (Junior) 2026

24.04.2026 ~ The Ski Association of Hong Kong, China (SAHK) is proud to announce that HKG athlete Aerin Alexandra KING has won a silver medal in the Women’s Slalom on the second day of competition at the 1st Asian Indoor Ski Championships (Junior) 2026 held in Qian Hai Snow World in Shenzhen, China. Aerin soared through the second day of competition, only miliseconds off Uzbekistan’s gold medalist’s total time.

Being that this is the first time that a female HKG athlete has podiumed at an Asian Ski Championships, SAHK would like to convey our heartfelt congratulations to Aerin for this great achievement, especially at this historic flagship indoor event for SAHK. Following a long and gruelling olympic qualification season, Aerin was able to demonstrate her elite performance against the best junior (16-21) skiers in the Asian region.

SAHK is so incredibly proud of our long-time team member, and we hope that this performance inspires the next generation of Hong Kong skiers to strive for athletic excellence and further international cultural exchange.

Event information: The 1st ever Asian Indoor Ski Championships (Junior) 2026 was organised by Ski Association of Hong Kong, China in collaboration with HUAFA SNOW BONSKI, marking the first international event held at the newly opened world’s largest ski resort in Qian Hai Snow World in Shenzhen, China. SAHK hosted elite junior athletes from 12 countries and regions including, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Korea, China, Thailand, DPKR, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro.
